My name is Shakeel Victor and I am a Multimedia and Web Designer based out of Palatine, IL. I was enrolled at the International Academy of Design and Technology-Schaumburg and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Visual Communications with an emphasis in Multimedia and Web Design in August 2009.

I always wanted to be involved in the art world. Doing something I loved to do while making a career out of it. I initially wanted to be in animation, but realized that it wasn’t for me. While researching another career opportunity, I finally decided on multimedia and web design. I loved retaining my sense of illustration and design, but I was also fascinated by the internet, and really saw a future in interactive media.

Throughout my education and experience in the field, I feel that I have gained more of the technical skills as well as cultivated the intuitive sensibilities that any successful designer must have in order to succeed in the design world. I’m familiar with multiple operating environments and have learned industry standard programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver, and Fireworks, as well as creating clean, valid code in programming languages such as HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, Actionscript, and XML. I am also a firm believer in web standards and believe in building websites dedicated to usability and scalability, overall creating the most optimal web experience for the end-user.
